Fondation Stamm

Doel & Doelstelling
The Stamm Foundation provides assistance to social groups that have suffered the most (and continue to suffer) from the consequences of the civil war that raged for years. These target groups include children, young people, and young women. Most of them are orphans of AIDS and war, former child soldiers, street children, people with disabilities, or victims of rape and other forms of violence. In many cases, this support also benefits entire family structures.
Through its projects, the Stamm Foundation strives to give the younger generation a chance to lead an independent life and to ensure that they can look forward to a future of peace in Burundi. The fight against poverty and support for self-sufficiency are essential steps toward stabilizing peace in this small Central/East African country. This requires constant flexibility and a willingness to adapt the organization to the ever-evolving external environment and its demands.
The Stamm Foundation also strives to give a voice and a face to these children and young people—offering them attention in a world where economic interests often take precedence.
