Because a pregnancy shouldn't end a future .

In Burundi, thousands of girls drop out of school every year due to pregnancy and lack of income. We offer them the refuge they need to heal, study, and lead.

The Cycle of Exclusion

When a young girl becomes pregnant in rural Burundi, she faces not only a health challenge—she faces social death. The stigma often leads to expulsion from home and school, leaving her without income or education.

Our Multi-Pillar Response

We do not simply provide assistance; we build a bridge to society through three key areas of intervention.

Mother-Child Shelters for Teenage Mothers

We run safe houses for teenage girls rejected by their families. We provide healthcare, nutrition, and a stigma-free environment to raise their children while planning for their future.

  • Postnatal healthcare

  • Family reunification

  • Healing from psychological trauma

  • Legal advice

School Re-enrollment Programs

Pregnancy should not be a lifelong sentence of poverty. We pay tuition fees and provide the necessary materials to help young mothers resume formal education and complete their degrees.

  • Tuition fees and school supplies

  • Childcare during school hours

  • Advocacy with school boards

Vocational training

For those who cannot return to school, we teach in-demand skills such as sewing and garment making, to ensure they can earn a living and remain independent.

  • Training in skills adapted to the market

  • Financial education and savings

  • Starter kits for micro-businesses
