A Month Full of Action for the Stamm Foundation: Youth, Health, Training, and Solidarity

This month, the Stamm Foundation and its partners have stepped up their efforts in support of young people, patients, and communities across Burundi. Here are some of the highlights:
A Labour Day Celebrated with Pride
On May 1st, personnel from the Stamm Foundation took part in Labor Day celebrations. Our field teams, especially in Ngozi Province, marched with pride to represent our daily commitment to the most vulnerable.
Youth in VICOBA Moving toward Cooperative Creation
In the Buhinyuza (Muyinga) and Ruhororo (Ngozi) communes, youth groups trained in VICOBA continue to receive nearby support. These trainings, backed by the BMZ and Burundikids e.V., aim to prepare them to build strong, autonomous cooperatives.
EPCM Kajaga Shapes the Pharmacists of Tomorrow
The EPCM Kajaga laboratory welcomed the 7th class of pharmacy students from INUSSAD. Over two weeks, these future professionals deepened their knowledge in analytical chemistry, drug analysis, phytochemistry, and organic pharmaceutical chemistry.
Training Youth for Life to Build Their Future
In collaboration with ora Kinderhilfe, the Stamm Foundation organized a life-skills training for young people in the sponsorship program. This initiative touched the communes of Ryansoro, Gihanga, and Musaga, equipping participants with useful tools for their future.
A Surgical Campaign That Restores Hope
Since April 5, the Hippocrates Hospital of Kajaga (HHK) has hosted a team of German doctors specializing in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. These free-of-charge operations are intended for patients from low-income families. More than ten people have already been operated on, giving hope to those who previously did not have access to specialized care.
Learning to Sew to Build a Future
Sewing is now a trade valued by many young people. Thanks to a workshop at its headquarters, the Stamm Foundation has already trained more than 100 young people in this skill. Some of them have even started their own sewing businesses — proof that this training is having a lasting impact.
